Cathedral of St. Sophia is a symbol of the new Constantinople. It is one the oldest endured churches in Kyiv - from the first half of the 11th century and the firs object of Ukraine inscribed in the World Heritage of UNESCO. Within was the first library and school in Kyivan Russian. It was the base of political and social life. The catheral is rich frescoes and mosaicsdating from the same - 11 century. North part of the St. Sophia Cathedral is the Church Seminary built in 1763 - 1767. The monastery was framed by the wall in 1745—1746. It has endured till our times.
