Fraumunster is well worth a visit. Also called Church of Our Lady. Its slender, blue spire visible from a distance. Fraumunster
was founded as Benedictine abbey in 853. The current church dates from the 13th and 14th centuries, but the crypt of the old abbey church is preserved in the undercroft.
The Munster stained-glass windows appeals to visitors. There are five of them, each with its own color theme.The best view is in morning light. The church is remarkable for its elaborate organ as well.
