Malmo is the third largest city of Sweden, was founded in the end of the XIIIth century and today is Sweden's commercial centre, now trying to focus on education, arts and culture.
Malmo is well-known for its parks - Slottsparken (The Castle Park), Kungsparken (The King´s Park) and Pildammarna (The Willow Ponds), also visitors can find excellent shopping possibilities, several hotels, restaurants (also very famous for its food, all Swedish cities Malmo has the highest concentration of restaurants), entertainment, impressive architectural developments, attracting new biotech and IT companies and particularly students through Malmo University.
Stortorget (the oldest city's squere) occupies 2 500 metres territory, it is often used for big events (annual Malmö festival), here is standing the Town Hall (originally built in 1546, but has been altered several times; its current appearance gained in 1864-1869).
Sweden football club from Malmo (established in 1899) was a runner-up of country once.
