| The Kosice Zoo |

|
The Kosice Zoo is the biggest of four Zoos in Slovakia. It was established in 1979. The exposition focus mainly on Euro-Asian fauna bred in conditions similar in size and nature to natural conditions. You can find here: Carpathian fauna, vivarium with aquarium fish, amphibians, and reptiles. Very attractive and rare animal species also include the Sumatran Tiger, Brown Bear, Lynx, Hamadry Baboon, Chapman´s zebra, Shetland Pony, Przewalski Horse, Chamois, Nilgau antelope, Ugrian Steppe Stock, Tibetian Yak, Asian Wild Ass, Emu, Ostrich, but also representatives of Water-fowl, Vermin and Owls, Ornamental Scrapers, Parrots but also original species of farm animals. Also there are quite big group of Hucul Horses. The Kosice Zoo is attractive sightseeing for families with kids.
