We advice to visit Slovakian capital Bratislava, located in the southwestern part of country. The city overspreads like a fan on both banks of the Danube River, and at the foot of the Low Carpatians, what composes facinate scenery. It‘s a growing hub of culture, as well as the national seat of politics and business. Its thousand year history offers a great deal to tourists.
The best way to explore the city is on foot. The best parts are old town and the castle. Many glorious monuments survive in the old city to tell of its past under Austro-Hungarian rule, and Bratislava's numerous museums are surprisingly rich. There are worth to see an 11th-century Gothic cathedral that was restored in the second half of the 19th century, a 13th-century Franciscan church; the town hall, a 13th-century edifice. If you are intrested more in culture visit Bratislava‘s museums: the Municipal Museum which comes complete with torture chambers and the Museum of Wine Production. Slovak National Museum expositions established in the Mirbach Palace. The Natural Sciences Museum of the Slovak National Museum and the Slovak National Gallery on the river are also worth a visit. Their historic and artistic value is truly beyond calculation.
Bratislava is as attractive at the day time as the night. Choose from a wide offering, ranging from loud with music or with chatter to heavy calm; from people-meeting hubs to people-avoiding sanctuaries; centred on social drinking, coffee or tea, or food; sports bars, dance bars, student bars in Mlynska dolina area. There are ten or twenty Bratislava clubs in full swing in any given week, most of them siutated in the oldtown.
