Novi Sad
Print Print

Novi Sad is the second city in Serbia. The town lies in the north of the country, upstream on the Danube. It‘s the capital of Vojvodine region and a cultural and educational centre. Novi Sad means “new planting”.The city is emerging as a small but lovely mix of historical charm and Balkan sophistication. The Hungarians incorporated Novi Sad in 1941 and, previously, it was an important city in the Kingdom of Austria-Hungary.  This influence is clear in Novi Sad's gorgeous ornate architecture.

We suggest  to walk by the riverside, on the beautiful, picturesque promenade full of colourful people and lovely nature. Novi Sad is compact and walkable yet rich with restaurants, shopping, art, and nightlife. Novi Sad attracts tourist with its events. If you visit country of 12-15th of July, don’t miss the annual EXIT music festival. It's night life is more than vivid every night.

The shoopers also find what to do in Novi Sad. We advice to visit Shopping mall-housing one-storey building "Kod belog lava" ("At the White Lion's"). It‘s the oldest in Novi Sad, located on the corner of Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina streets, built in 1780.
