When it is enough noise and fuss of metropolitan we advice to run away to Sintra. It is quaint mountain village about forty minutes by train from capital. It's renowned for its 19th century romantic architecture. Sintra also called castle town. After touring old town you can also visit three palaces, namely Palacio da Vila, Palacio da Pena and Palacio de Queluz. It was once the summer residence of the kings of Portugal and of the Moorish lords of Lisbon before them. Lord Byron described this place as „Glorious Eden“. The steep mountains and lush forests creats spectacular suroundings and magic atmosphere.
