Gdańsk is the old Poland port with beautiful surroundings. It‘s located on the Baltic coustline. Gdansk with nearby Sopot and Gdynia compose a Tri-city (Trojmiasto) metroplis. All three cities are diferent. Sopot is a resort town. Gdynia is the smallest city and is not the most popular tourist‘s attraction. Gdansk has the thousand-year history. It was built by Germans, and was one of the main Baltic ports. In its "golden age" the town had the specific status of a municipal republic. Nowadays, works by outstanding Gdansk masters can be admired in museums, churches, and galleries.
The best starting point of Gdansk exploring is its old town, around Dluga Street, then stroll to parallel streets and the quayside (Dlugie Pobrzeze). It‘s worth to see large fortification System
encircling the town: The Green Gate, The Golden Gate and The Highland Gate.
There lot of museum, the most interesting are the Amber museum and Sea museum.
