Cracow, also called Kraków, is the traditional capital of Poland. It is setted around Wisla river. There were used to live many Germans and Austrians before I World War, their influence can be seen in the local architecture. Cracov was the first which was included into UNESCO world heritage list. Cracow is a vibrant town with impressive cultural and historical dignity, which provides a glorious backdrop to all the fun. Cracow houses the oldest Poland‘s university as well.
The best way to discover Krakow is on foot. Take walk through facinating old town with large Market square (Sukiennice), don‘t miss beautiful St. Mary’s Church, the cupola of Sigismund’s Chapel. The Royal Route leads you through the Barbican, the Town Hall Tower, City Defence Walls, St Florian’s Gate, or the Cloth Hall. Enjoy Polish hospitality, a tasty meal, a yarn and hotel's display of memorabilia dedicated to the pioneering stockmen and country 'larrikins'.
The main Cracow highlight is the Wawel Castle.If you would like to have a shopping go to Old Town Kleparz. It‘s a famous of market, because there is a huge bazaar where you can purchase traditional polish products: cracowian sausage, cold cooked meat, sweets, mushrooms, cheeses, fruits and vegetables and everything what you cannot find in big trade centres.
