We suggest to visit a town where Netherlands Queen Beatrix is living and working. Hague is the third city of Netherlands after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hague is administration and governmental office of state.
The atmosphere wich you will feel is quite similar to another capital, but Hague is less crouded of tourist. Enjoy the outdoor emphasis of what is often called Netherlands greenest city in one of its many parks or stroll along the canals and winding streets as well. Try to find a time to stop off for a coffee or a beer at one of the many reasonably priced cafes and café bars dotted around the city or marvel at the fantastic array of blooming bulb flowers at the Park Clingendael or its near neighbour the Westbroek Park. Don‘t miss the oldest town part governemental - Binnenhof (Regeringsgebouven).
For more culture we suggest to visit one of thirty Hague‘s museums. If you are interesting in photgraphy, go to the Fotomuseum, contemporary Art-go to the GEM, the Royal Collection of Paintings is placed in the Mauritshuis. The Gemeentemuseum The Hague, Museum Beelden aan Zee, Panorama Mesdag, Escher Museum also add cultural spice to the town.
On the other hand, if you want to relex and spend some money make a shop. Besides all the familiar department stores and chains, you'll find countless specialist shops, fashion boutiques, porcelain shops, shoe shops, delicatessens, and many more shops specialising in fascinating exotic products.
If you have one day more, can take a day-trip to the nearby coastal resort of Scheveningen, with its fine sandy beach. It is actually part of the city.
