Bitola is the second biggest city of Macedonia. The city was found in the XIth century, since 1395 Monastiru (that times city's name) was occupied by turks, since 1912 was owned by Serbia, after the Second World War - by Yugoslavia.
Here is university (founded in 197), National Museum, The Early Chistianity's times church, the stroghold's survivals of Byzantian style, mosques from the XIV-XVIth centuries. Not far away from Bitola here are ruins of Roman's city Heraclea Lyncestis.
