Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein and the residence of the Princely Family.

In 1932 here was established FC Vaduz - football club of Liechtenstein.

Tourists may visit Liechtenstein Museum of Fine Arts (opened November 2000); Liechtenstein National Museum; Red House; Ski Museum; Vaduz Castle (the oldest complex from the XIIth century, the stronghold was expanded in the XVIth/XVIIth century, castle was burned down in 1499 during the Swabian War and restored only from 1905 to 1912, the round tower was built from 1529 to 1532, but this castle is just for the Princely Family, visitors are not allowed); The Government Building (built from 1903 to 1905 by the princely architect Gustav von Neumann of Vienna, restored from 1984 to 1994); St. Florin´s Parish Church (was built between 1868 and 1873 by the Viennese architect Friedrich von Schmidt, where earlier was a medieval chapel, consecrated on 5 October 1873, the interior's renovation was finished in 1966, exterior's - in 1976).
