Daugavpils is multicultural city. A characteristic feature of buildings is Classicism-style red brick houses with ornamentation of various styles. The old town invite attention with it‘s churches architecture. Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Orthodox, Old Believers, Judaic churches testify to the activities of various religions in the town. There many of them: St. Peter’s Church (1848), which a little bit like in Rome; St. Mary’s and Griva’s Catholic Churches; M. Luther’s church; nice St. Boris and Bleb’s Orthodox cathedral and others. The Daugavpils Local Arts and History Museum, interesting as a museum and as an original architecture example.
