Cork is the second biggest city of Ireland, large harbour with jetties and docks.

In 500-600 years it was ordered to established a city here - in and river's Laoi island, since 846 here were living vikigs.

Today Cork is the centre of industry of West Ireland's part, the main field is pharmacy, a lot of peolpe are working in the branch of IT, developing diferent national sport of Ireland.

Today Cork is one of the most important air port in Ireland.

Here are several interesting and worth to see places - Millstreet Country Park (over 500 acres) with lakes, waterfalls, archaeological sites, birds and other wildlife; Foto Wildlife Park (40 acres) is one of the most modern such parks in Europe, established in 1983, here visitors will find about 70 species in open natural surroundings; Charles Fort Kinsale constructed in the late XVIIth century, has five bastions,two of them are in the sea's side to defend the harbour; Bantry House and Gardens the first family settled here in ths XVIIth century and called Blackrock, since 1946 here exposition of furniture, tapestries and art is taking place for the public, in 1997 started restoration of the garden, today visitors can see 7 terraces and a fountain.
