Iceland

Iceland - the land of glaciers and fire, situated the westernmost in Europe. The island,  where the Sagas of the Vikings were born, where threatening volcanoes erupting and magnificent midnight sun appears, people speaking ancient Norse and a town entirely overrun by elves.

Iceland’s natural beauty admiring with unique. This country is the most uninhabited place in Europe. It‘s landscape consist of red sulphur, black lava, hot blue geysers, rivers, waterfalls and green valleys. The endless and ubiquitous flow of geothermal water streaming from the earth here. If you didn‘t try the geothermal water baths-means you haven‘t been in Iceland at all.  Icelander are in forefront of global research and development of geothermal energy. This hot water is used for open-air swimming pools, spas, special geothermal plants producing both hot water for district heating and electricity.

The extremely popular Icelander freetime spending, besides geothermal water baths,  is horse riding. Furthermore, you can try another adventurous pursuits, such as river rafting, whale watching, salmon and trout fishing, sea angling, glacier trips and unforgettable expeditions over the highlands.

Don‘t leave Icland without seeing the worldfamous natural geothermal spa Blue Lagoon in South of island, the Golden Circle next to the capital Reykjavik, taking in a waterfall, geysers and a continental rift; a walk tour through the Thorsmork nature preserve. Go and see the still working volcano Hekla.

Remark, you won’t find here trams, trains or metro, just buses. We suggest to rent a car, it’s better to get know the country. Interesting, the church is everywhere, even in the smallest villeages where just one family live. Also, unusual, but Icelanders don't have family names.

Remember that weahter volatility is increadible. Know what the best and worst weather could be like, so be prepeared going outside.

The main metropolitan is capital Reykjavik. You will find everything for your needs here. Most of attractions and sightseeings are within reach from capital.
