| The Castle of Eger |

The Castle of Eger was founded in 11th century. It was established by saint Istvab (Stephan), the first Christian king of Hungary. At the begining just cathedral was build, wich ruins you can see today, and later castle were constructed around. It is well worth the time to block out a day to tour the Istvan Dobo Castle Museum inside and explore castle's grounds.
