At least one day spend in calm city Eger. The smaller towns more reflects real Hungarien life than  Budapest shining impresion. Eger is the northern spa of hungary, located in the Eger valley between the Matra and the Bukk mountains. It was one of the first settlements of the Magyars (Hungarian ethnic group), and was one of the main centres of Hungarian Renaissance culture in the 15th century. The ton is the seat of an archbishop, and because of its numerous ecclesiastical buildings has got the name of "the Hungarian Rome." There aplanty architecture monuments of XVII century, several baroque churches and grand lyceum, where  observatory and astronomical museum is established  as well. But the town pearl is  the Castle of Eger and Turkish minaret.

The city is surrounded by vineyards. Taste local prodeced wine-Egri Bikavir, wich is famous Hungerian wine.
