| The Town Hall |

It’s a must to see Tallinn heart- The Town Hall. This Gothic building on the central square of Tallinn was buils in the beginning of the 13th Century. Today exterior came from 1402-1404 years, when it was significantly rebuilt. In 2005 it got a European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage, for the revival of the last surviving Gothic Town Hall in Northern Europe and the exemplary revealing of all the historical layers of this icon of the great European tradition of municipal power. The three-nave cellar hall is open to viaitors today as an exhibit hall.The weathervane at the top of the tallest tower of the Town Hall is called Old Thomas („Vana Toomas“).
