In Cyprus are several monasteries from the Middle Ages, one of them is Bellapais Abbey monastery, built in 1198 - 1206, today is on of the most impressive art example from Gothic style, the most astonishing is Kikos monastery within one of the three endured icons of St.Marie, painted by St.Luke.

Stronghold of Kerinia, which was built in the VIIth century to protect from arabs, today within is established museum where visitors can find ancient ship's rest. With this ship traders were swimming 300 years B.C., nowadays it is the oldest find ship ever.

Paphos curort attracts those visitors, which are interested in history, in this town are endured great number of architectural monuments - harbor's stronghold built by turks, graves of kings, catacombs of Saliamon, castle from the Byzantine times, column of apostolic Petre, mosaic within villa of Dionysius and others. All monuments in Paphos are written in UNESCO World heritage list.
